Two-day-old Moon | |||
In the evening sky a snapshot of the young Moon reveals some detail on the Earthshine illuminated lunar disk. On the right of the image you can make just about make out a reddish-coloured star, this is T Arietis which appears only 2 arcminutes separated from the moon, yet is at a distance of 1052 light years.
