Double Cluster
Also known as "h and chi Persei", this rare double cluster features the two open clusters NGC 869 and NGC 884. They are relatively close neighbours at a separation of only hundreds of lights years, and reside some 7,500 light years from our Sun in the Perseus arm of the Milky Way. Many of the clusters star members are hot and luminous O and B type giants, some tens of thousands times brighter than our Sun.
